Arexera chooses Brainloop Secure Dataroom for document exchange and archiving

Munich, Germany - May 22, 2007 Arexera GmbH today has adopted the Brainloop Secure Dataroom as their platform for the secure exchange of confidential business documents. Arexera, a leader in the automotive and communication industry, uses the Dataroom for international project management. Arexera chose the Brainloop Secure Dataroom not only because it provides for the secure, fast, and cost-effective exchange of test scripts for mobile phone installations between the test-teams, but also because it features a robust archiving and filing function, one of Arexera's primary requirements. The Dataroom serves as an information databank and it stores project know-how for future reference. Its easy-to-use operability, world-wide access, and quick availability of current project information convinced Arexera that the Brainloop Dataroom was the best choice.
The Brainloop Secure Dataroon is a web-based solution that allows Arexera associates worldwide to create, edit, and share documents in an extremely secure environment. The Dataroom is available as a software solution, hosted at the client's site or as an ASP solution, hosted at an Application Service Provider, Arexera chose the ASP version and have chosen to have the service hosted at T-Systems.
The head of the Arexera Project Team, Andreas Dosch, is responsible for the delivery of production-ready test results to companies in the automotive industry. He remarked, "The deployment of the hosted Brainloop Dataroom provided us with significant savings in time and money. The Dataroom allows us to share documents throughout our organization in a highly secure environment. Our international test teams need to share information about our test results and analyses and we need a flexible infrastructure that allows all authorized users permanent access to all project information from anywhere in the world and at any time. The Brainloop Dataroom provides us with that capability and it allows our teams to create, edit, and share documents faster. Because we must deliver production-ready test results, we are under time pressure and must quickly find and correct errors. We run different versions of each test series and we need to keep the results of each test series separate. While security is extremely important to us, it's equally important that the Dataroom allows us to keep separate historic results of each test series as an information databank. This tells us which project collaborator worked on which test and when. In addition to all its other features, the Brainloop Dataroom is also very easy to use. We have decided to replace our IBM Workplace with the Brainloop Dataroom."
To ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information, access to the Dataroom can be secured through a two-factor authentication process. First, each user has a password to gain access to the system. Then in addition, each user can also be sent an SMS-pin to his/her mobile phone each time the user need accesses to the system. The two-factor authentication provides an additional level of security.
An important feature is, of course, the central storage of documents with a detailed administration of access rights. Automatically created protocols make modifications made to documents obvious and comprehensible. Various technologies prevent users from downloading documents, photographing screens, or capturing screen shots. In addition, a watermark technology prevents users from forwarding documents.
