Boston, July 6, 2011 - Brainloop, the market leader in document compliance management, today announced that it has concluded an agreement to acquire all shares of the company Results as a Service GmbH (RaaS), a reseller of Software-as-a-Service solutions based in Vienna, Austria. Following the fulfillment of the customary closing conditions, RaaS will become Brainloop's subsidiary in Austria. With this acquisition, Brainloop is continuing to drive its strategy of international expansion by establishing a direct presence in its core markets.
Brainloop's acquisition of the Austrian company Results as a Service GmbH provides Brainloop the opportunity to strengthen its presence in the attractive target markets of central and Eastern Europe. The goal of the future Brainloop subsidiary will be to expand Brainloop's business in the Austrian and east European markets substantially. Several well-known Austrian companies already use the Brainloop solution to protect their sensitive information, including TIWAG, Wintersteiger AG, ENI Austria, Telekom Austria, Vienna Airport and Österreichische Volksbanken AG.
Peter Weger, CEO of Brainloop, says: "We are pleased with the acquisition of RaaS GmbH as it will help us move to a leadership position in Austria, continuing our growth based on an existing and solid foundation. We have been working with RaaS for many years and its sales talent has enabled it to succeed in positioning the Brainloop solution within the Austrian market. The company's employees have built up a significant level of market, product and solution expertise over the years. The best proof of that is their long-term customer relationships, which are an excellent basis for our ongoing success together."
Helmut Pöllinger, CEO of RaaS, also welcomes these plans. "This acquisition is the logical next step in the very successful collaboration we've had with Brainloop over the last few years as its specialized partner in Austria," he says. "It enables us to be even better equipped to serve our customers and penetrate the Austrian and East European markets."
