Brainloop Secure Dataroom 6.1 persuades with automatic implementation of predefined security categories

Friday, 06. October 2006

Munich, October 6, 2006 - Brainloop AG, leading provider of electronic Datarooms for the secure management of confidential documents, now provides version 6.1 of the Brainloop Secure Dataroom. Its main innovation is the completely automatic implementation of predefined security categories for confidential documents. These categories are integrated in the data room and automatically applied to communication inside as well as outside company boundaries.

"In this new version, Brainloop offers administrators more freedom allocating permissions and custom formats the normally available structural scheme of the company and organization in the Dataroom. The users are freed from document specific considerations about encryption, permission status of users, etc. and instead simply assign documents within the Dataroom an available security category, like "internal", "confidential" and "strictly confidential"," describes Markus Seyfried, CTO of Brainloop AG, as the central improvement of Version 6.1.

Each security category offers different options, like authorized users who can access the document. The band width allows simple access to the original document through the automatic conversion into a PDF file with optional watermark up to document protection with Microsoft Rights Management System. In each editing phase, the document can be assigned different security categories, thus changing the permissions or access to a document. Optically, the confidentiality level of a document can be identified by assigning it a colour.
