Tracto selects Brainloop Secure Dataroom to enable collaboration on confidential documents across 60 countries

Boston, June 2, 2009 - Tracto Technik, a provider of systems and services for the underground installation and renewal of pipelines, has chosen the Brainloop Secure Dataroom for its international collaboration. The company uses the virtual data room to share confidential documents with customers and partners in more than 60 countries. Providing a secure way to share and work on files, the data room replaces traditional ways of sending out documents, such as email and postal services, which can be unsecure, time-consuming, and error-prone.

One of Tracto Technik's key requirements was that changes to documents could be tracked to show who had modified which files and when. "Brainloop's audit trail function provides a tamper-proof record of every document access and every successful or unsuccessful attempt to change data. This fits our requirements and helps us achieve the level of transparency we wanted for our international collaboration," explains Markus Tesche, IT Project Manager at Tracto Technik. The documents stored in the data room are encrypted with a 256-bit Advanced Encryption Key (AES). The transmission of attachments between the desktop and the data room is also protected by 128-bit encryption during transit. Another important feature for Tracto Technik is that the solution is available in several languages. "We do business around the world, so it was clearly very important to us to enable users to work with the data room in their own language," adds Tesche.

Tracto Technik was also impressed with the solution's rapid implementation. Little time was needed to develop the concept and set up the virtual data rooms and access permissions system.
