Brainloop appoints Uli Mittermaier to the executive team

Boston, May 3, 2010 - The board of directors of Brainloop, the leading provider of software solutions for the high-security management of confidential documents, announced today that it has appointed Uli Mittermaier to the company's management effective from April 1, 2010. Mittermaier joins Peter Weger, CEO, and Markus Seyfried, CTO, on the executive team.

Uli Mittermaier co-founded Brainloop AG in 2000. In 2007 he was appointed president of Brainloop Inc., where he built up and expanded the company's US operations. "His appointment underlines the strategic importance we place on our American business and demonstrates our plans for further growth in this key market."

To drive US expansion, Brainloop has set up a local sales and service team to ensure optimal support for American customers. The software-as-a-service application Brainloop Secure Dataroom is also hosted for US customers in a US-based data center.

After completing his business administration degree at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, Mittermaier worked for Netscape Communications in several positions, of which the last was in strategic sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He then co-founded Brainloop and has since made a decisive contribution to the company's growth.
