Brainloop and Hewlett Packard Offer an End-to-End-Solution for Secure Management of Confidential Documents

Munich, November 8, 2006 - Brainloop AG, the provider of Brainloop Secure Dataroom, and Hewlett Packard have announced a partnership to offer an end-to-end solution for protecting and exchanging confidential documents. With HP, Brainloop has won another leading service provider to host the web-based electronic safe.

HP delivers Brainloop Secure Dataroom on a highly reliable cluster infrastructure and is in charge of operations and management. Over 900 HP customers worldwide trust the virtual Dataroom to exchange confidential information, for example in strategic corporate projects or to comply with corporate governance regulations. A shared, secure repository enables Dataroom users to manage document versions and to synchronize tasks and activities of all participants.

The Brainloop Secure Dataroom's end-to-end security architecture includes encryption for storage and transmission of documents and strong user authentication. A two factor mechanism can be used for extra-strong authentication, where users receive a text message key sent to their mobile phone. Additionally, every action, like access or change of a document, is recorded automatically. A personalized watermark offers additional protection. The audit trail ensures that all operations in the Dataroom adhere to compliance regulations and to the German Corporate Governance Codex.
