BroadLight sets up a secure, web-based document distribution system in the Brainloop Dataroom
BY: SABINE GRIEVE
Munich, July 25, 2007 - BroadLight, the leading supplier of GPON semiconductors and software, has deployed Brainloop Secure Dataroom to implement a flexible, secure and web-based document distribution to its worldwide customers and partners. By using the Virtual Dataroom, BroadLight recipients will benefit from instant access to critical documents and technical specifications from anywhere in the world.
The Brainloop Dataroom provides a communication platform that ensures the protection of confidential documents while providing access to information by authorized users, based on encrypted data transfer and a strong user authentication. In addition to the secure document exchange between BroadLight's offices, their customers and partners also benefit from the availability of confidential user documentation and collateral in the Dataroom. Today, over 400 users are using the Dataroom to securely exchange and store documents.
Doron Tal, Vice President Business Development and Product Management at BroadLight explains: "The Dataroom is a powerful communications platform that is used to distribute confidential product collateral to our worldwide customers and partners, and also for document exchange between our offices in the U.S., Asia and Israel. As we share technical information with our customers and strategic partners all the time, its best-in-class security architecture, its worldwide and immediate availability, and its scalability make Brainloop Secure Dataroom the optimal secure communication platform for our needs."
Encrypted storage is an integral component of Brainloop Secure Dataroom's end-to-end security architecture. Dataroom contents are secured with a 128-bit encryption during transmission and, additionally, with a 256-bit key while at rest. Brainloop's strong two-factor-authentication technology provides extended protection with smart cards or mobile phones. A personalized watermark offers additional protection.
