BayTech Venture Capital invests 2 million euro in Software-as-a-Service Provider Brainloop AG

Munich, July 18, 2007 - Brainloop AG, the leading provider of infrastructure and solutions for managing confidential documents, announced today that the Munich based early-stage Venture firm BayTech Venture Capital has made a sole Series A investment of 2 million euro. The funds will be used to expand the company's international development.

Brainloop is the leading Software-as-a-Service provider for managing confidential documents across the extended enterprise. The company was founded in 2000 and helps over 200 companies protect confidential documents in boardroom communication, financial reporting, and corporate M&A projects. Based on its unique approach of combining easy-to-use applications with best-in-class end-to-end security delivered as a hosted service, Brainloop has grown significantly over the last two years with year-over-year quarterly growth rates in excess of 100%. Worldwide demand for the Brainloop solution is driven by increasing legal requirements for active risk management and regulatory compliance. The financing will allow Brainloop to grow its global sales and marketing capability, with specific focus on expanding into the US.
