IZB Informatik-Zentrum now offers Brainloop Secure Dataroom

Munich, April 11, 2007 - IZB Informatik-Zentrum adds the Brainloop Secure Dataroom to its suite of services. IZB Informatik-Zentrum, owned by the Sparkassen-Financial Group, is a leading IT service provider to the financial sector. With the Brainloop Secure Dataroom IZB can offer its customers a web-based software solution that allows for secure collaboration in inter-company and cross-company projects. The Dataroom provides for the safe storage of critical documents and for secure confidential communication with managers, shareholders, customers, and partners. It is ideally suited for due diligence projects. With the Dataroom, IZB can offer its customers important additional services.

Brainloop Dataroom provides a communication platform that employs encrypted data exchange and strong user authentication to guarantee that confidential documents remain confidential.  Individuals and teams working on the same project but working from different locations can safely and securely share information, review, and edit documents online.  IZB Informatik-Zentrum will use the Dataroom to provide a solution both for their customers who have offices in multiple locations as well as their customers whose work involves collaboration among multiple companies. When a customer is working on many projects at the same time, IZB Informatik-Zentrum can set-up a different Dataroom for each project, protecting the confidentiality and security of each project.  When customers use a Brainloop Dataroom they eliminate a primary cause of security breech - users sending confidential documents as attachments to email messages.

IZB Informatik-Zentrum expects that banks, financial institutions, law firms, and other companies that require confidential communication with their customers will use the Secure Dataroom.  The Dataroom is an on-demand solution and it can be set-up within a few days.  It is completely customizable and IZB can configure it to meet a wide variety of customer requirements.

The Dataroom's end-to-end security architecture includes encryption for storage and for the transmission of documents.  It also offers strong user-authentication to protect the system from unauthorized access.  A personalized watermark on each document offers additional protection. In addition, the Dataroom keeps a secure log to record every access and every change to each document. This audit trail ensures that all operations in the Dataroom adhere to modern compliance regulations. When the due diligence or the project is completed all content including the audit trail are archived to cover future security requirements.
