Agrokor board of directors communicate securely with Brainloop Secure Boardroom

Munich / Zagreb, March 7, 2007 - Agrokor d.d., the largest food manufacturer and retailer in Croatia, has deployed Brainloop Secure Boardroom, the web-based software solution for communication between the board of directors and the supervisory board. The preparation and distribution of the board of directors' meetings and resolutions will be managed in Brainloop's Secure Boardroom application, which now supports online voting, allowing the board members to make decisions independent of the board meetings. In addition to that, sensitive information such as future marketing campaigns and other confidential documents will be managed in the Brainloop Secure Boardroom application.

Until now the gathering of information for the board's resolutions, the dispatch of minutes and filing took place in paper form or via e-mail. The Secure Boardroom eliminates these inefficient and insecure communication practices. From now on, board meetings will be prepared in the Boardroom, and resolutions will be executed during the meeting. Brainloop Secure Boardroom benefits include an efficient meeting management system, a central document repository, which is protected against tampering with documents and any unauthorized forwarding of e-mail attachments.

Marina Simunic, Chief Information Security Officer, Agrokor, explains: "We use the Secure Boardroom to prepare and to pass resolutions. The voting results will be registered in the Boardroom during the board meeting, guaranteeing that the resolutions remain unchanged. Especially in time-critical situations, Agrokor uses the dataroom for action by written consent, meaning that each board member can vote directly and independently in the Boardroom. Hence, the Secure Boardroom covers the requirements of our central, secure and simultaneously efficient meeting management system."

The Brainloop Secure Boardroom's end to end security architecture includes encryption for storage and transmission of documents as well as a strong user authentication. A two factor mechanism can be used for strong authentication where users receive a text message key sent to their mobile phone. Furthermore, every action, such as access or change of a document will be automatically recorded. A personalized watermark offers additional protection. The audit trail ensures that all operations in the Boardroom adhere to modern compliance regulations.
