The Eurocopter Group implements Brainloop Secure Dataroom for international information exchange
Munich, February 14, 2007 - Brainloop Secure Dataroom, the document management system for highly secure exchange of confidential business documents, is deployed by the Eurocopter Group as a strategical enterprise platform. This company develops, sells and sponsors the world's most extensive range of helicopters. Eurocopter selected Brainloop Secure Dataroom as a central information exchange hub to guarantee the safe transfer of confidential information and to manage the flexible and efficient exchange of these documents with partners, providers and customers. The comprehensive security architecture, the ability to integrate with internal systems, and ease-of-use were key factors in the decision for Brainloop.
All users access the Dataroom through the web-based Brainloop document safe from any place in the world. In addition to commercial information, engineering documents, such as parts lists and CAD files, are stored and edited in the confidential Dataroom.
Manfred Seiler, Head of IT-Applications and R&D Projects at Eurocopter explains: "For the electronic communication between our companies, partners, and customers, we require a confidential but most of all highly flexible infrastructure, that allows all users permanent access to all company documents - independent of their location. Because of its easy use, worldwide availability, and best-in-class information security, Brainloop Secure Dataroom is the optimal solution for our our requirements. Especially in the engineering area, the large amounts of information exchange from CAD files are supported efficiently and old applications based on Odette/ISDN have been eliminated. Brainloop helps us address the global challenges facing an internationally growing enterprise in the area of helicopter and aircraft construction."
Encrypted storage is an integral component of Brainloop Secure Dataroom's end-to-end security architecture. Dataroom contents are secured with a 128-bit encryption during transmission and, additionally, with a 256-bit key while at rest. Brainloop's strong two-factor-authentication technology provides extended protection with smart cards or mobile phones. Additionally, every action, like access or change of a document, is recorded automatically. A personalized watermark offers additional protection. Brainloop Dataroom also covers future safety requirements like watermarking a document or changing it to a read-only mode.
