But the same tools that made collaboration so effective also wreaked havoc on the security and control over information distribution that companies relied on.
Jack Van Arsdale is the Vice President of Legal for Diligent Corporation. Jack has been with Diligent since 2011 and has helped us manage our rapid growth and international expansion. He also assisted with our acquisition of Thomson Reuters’ BoardLink business and our sale to Insight Venture Partners.
Prior to joining Diligent, Jack was in private practice, with the majority of his time spent advising an international investor relations firm. Jack received his J.D. with a concentration in Corporate Law from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his A.B. from Cornell University with a double major in English and Economics.
Brian is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Diligent Corporation. Before joining Diligent, Brian spent 15 years in financial leadership positions at BoardEffect and Blackboard, helping to grow and scale both organizations from early stage companies to high-performing global SaaS companies.
Prior to that, Brian spent over 10 years working in various Finance and Accounting roles in the telecommunications industry working for MCI which was acquired by Verizon. During his career, Brian has played a significant role in more than 25 successful mergers and acquisitions in the SaaS industry. Brian graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech) with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Virginia.
Deutschmann held management positions in Sales, Business Development and Services at Compaq, Netscape and Sequent Computer Systems. He also founded his own company, Mybau. Deutschmann, who had been a member of Brainloop’s supervisory board from 2001 until 2015, was previously CEO of Update Software AG, a publicly-listed CRM provider.
As CEO of Brainloop, Thomas Deutschmann is responsible for defining and implementing the company’s business strategy. He will also be tasked with ensuring that the firm achieves its operational goals.
Prior to joining Brainloop in 2017, he was CTO of MACH AG, a software and consulting company specialising in ERP and ECM. Schmidt previously also worked for BOND GmbH & Co KG (now OCLC), ChipVision Design Systems AG and Kuratorium OFFIS e.V.
As Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Eike Schmidt heads up product management and software development. He also manages service, which includes the support and operations areas.
